Every year Aanya's family takes vacation to celebrate the life of Aanya, Last year we went to Gatlinburg Tennessee, something Nya wanted to do for for a while. We partied, gathered as family to play games and as always we did a balloon release sending her personal messages from each one of us in our balloons. We celebrated and honored her name and day! Next year and forever , we will be somewhere new, so join us from wherever you are send her a balloon and message to honor her name and legacy. STAY TUNE !
"I went to my family doctor because my knee was in excruciating pain, that night, I was called and told to get to an emergency room as soon as possible." What began as a persistent knee pain quickly became a frightening diagnosis: "Upon arrival, I was told I had cancer," she said. "After several tests, I was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia Lymphoblastic (ALL)." After more tests, I was told I have had cancer for probably two years," she says. "It started out as Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) and because it was missed it changed to ALL. This experience was shocking and devastating" (Hoxworth.org).
This day was life changing for the family, but nothing like it was for Aanya. So this day we celebrate how strong Nya was from this day forward ! LET OFF YOUR BALLOONS, and continue to be NYA STRONG !
"Many don't know but when you have cancer and undergo stem cell transplant (BMT) the day you get your cells is your like second birthday, mine is tomorrow May 5th. I’m so excited that I was gifted with basically a new life due to my incredible unknown donor, so if you'll see me saying it’s my birthday that’s why & I hope you'll wish me well, and continue the prayers, I can’t wait to receive my new immune system" - Aanya Allen
"I got out, I been in there since April and I’m glad to say I was well enough to get out , I don’t know if my cancer is gone yet, but yesterday was a important day.
